A few reflections on Easter Praise 2009

Easter Praise 2009 is history, and I have nothing but praise at the moment for everyone who made it happen.

First of all – praise God, who has given us the gifts and talents of an amazing church family. To Him be all the glory.

Then, praise to everyone who had a leadership role. It never ceases to amaze me how the people who are gifted in each critical area rise to the top and perform their duties with excellence. The choir, drama, and worship banners are the obvious “up-front” ones……but the behind-the scenes duties like the church cleaning (inside and out), cookies and rolls, greeters, new church signs (entrance/exit, plus the new CCC stone out front), bulletins and inserts, parking lot attendants, tech operations (computer, graphics, teleprompter!), scheduling of volunteers, KIDS Church – all these are so important and were done so well. Could you leave any of them out and still have as great a day? No. Everyone is important and takes their responsibility seriously.

According to the unofficial count I heard yesterday, we broke the all-time EP record! I was told we had around 230 yesterday – that breaks the previous record of 222 at EP 4 at Three Sisters Park (2003). Wow!! And we are following up on all first-time and return guests.

I would love to know YOUR thoughts about yesterday…and your dreams for Easter Praise 2010 and beyond! You can either comment to this blog or email me at b.hentrich@chillicothechristian.net
