Volunteer Appreciation Meal

Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

-Romans 12.10

Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. -Psalm 106.1

There is something powerful about honor! And yet, there is somewhat of a 'forgotten-ness' in showing honor. It is CCC's firm belief that all honor goes first and foremost to God; we honor Him best by giving Him praise for His graciousness and love in our lives.

But as the Great Commandment tells us, we love (and honor) God best by loving others, those around us, especially our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. To that end, we, the staff of Chillicothe Christian Church, want to show appreciation and honor to all of you as volunteers and servants of ministry at the church and in this community.

If I've said it once, I'll say it many more times: as a volunteer in ministry at CCC, you are the core and lifeblood of what we do to fulfill the mission and vision that God has given us to accomplish. Without you, we would be dead in the water, and all our efforts would bear little fruit for the kingdom.

So we got to thinking through the course of last year that we wanted to find an adequate way to say 'thanks.' Thanks to the Lord for what He has done, is doing, and will do, and thanks to all of you for your faithfulness in serving well and loving the Lord with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

We would love for you and your family to join us on Sunday, April 12, following second service, for a meal to celebrate ministry and what God is doing at CCC as well as honor every one of you who make it happen. Please mark your calendar now and plan to join us for an afternoon of celebration and praise.

Would you help us out by responding to the RSVP and letting us know if you will or will not be able to attend, and if so, how many from your family will be coming?

Again, we thank you for your tireless and selfless commitment to CCC,  surrounding communities, but most of all God's kingdom and its continual expansion from here to the ends of the earth!
